A new DLC is now available for theHunter: Call of the Wild and it introduces a new reserve. Rancho del Arroyo brings new species of animals and an exciting storyline. This new area is inspired by the Sonoran Desert in northern Mexico.
The new DLC will be on sale on Steam at a 25% discount at $ 5.99 through July 7th.
This latest DLC features a new story in which players must solve a 100 year old family puzzle. It begins with the guard Salvador Soto Muñoz returning to his parents’ house and taking over the family ranch. Instead of running the ranch, he sells the cattle and turns it into a biosphere reserve.
In the weeks of the reopening, Salvador is asking for assistance to make sure that the reserve is indeed a good hunting ground. During this time, players will uncover some long-lost secrets.
Players will discover that Rancho del Arroyo is really a good hunting ground. On the other side of the plains there are, for example, white-tailed deer, mule deer and bighorn sheep. If you turn towards the river, there is a chance of finding the Rio Grande Turkey. There are also the ring necked pheasant, the collar pekari and the coyote.
Even at night, the hunt does not stop with the Mexican bobcat making itself felt.
Players can also try hunting with the Couso Model 1897 16-gauge pump-action shotgun. This weapon is popular not only with hunters, but also with police officers and soldiers. It can carry five grenades through its tubular magazine and can fire multiple rounds in rapid succession. This makes it a really versatile weapon and a must have for experienced hunters.
The new DLC comes with update 1.68. Here is the highlight of the bug fixes included:
Diamond Whitetail Deer weighs no more than 100 kg.
Backpacks are no longer visible in the ego camera.
The slow motion bug for dog on tracker levels 1 and 16 has been fixed
Fixed the crash when the user orders the dog to chase a rabbit corpse within 50 meters.
Fixed an issue where tents with an active dog nearby would disappear if the user continued gameplay after exiting the main menu.
