IIM holds its eighth international conference


SHILLONG, July 25th: In line with its goal of sustainable development, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong is holding the eighth edition of its international sustainability conference SUSCON.
This year, SUSCON is focusing on “Holism, Harmony and Happiness”. Traditionally, SUSCON wants to develop the community of the best minds who are committed to sustainability worldwide this year as well.
This time, IIM Shillong will work with the Center for Bhutan Studies & Gross National Happiness Research (CBS & GNH Research) as academic and intellectual partners for the conference. In addition, the European Institute SPES (Spirituality and Ethics in Society) will be a cooperation partner.
The institute has announced that this year the Foundation Module on Sustainability from IIM Shillong will be integrated into SUSCON in such a way that young people who have been accepted into the institute from different parts of the country will be the respected speakers of. listening and interacting with them will be part of the conference.
Given the prevailing COVID scenario, the conference will be held virtually. “In line with the values ​​of sustainability, the institute will plant a tree on its campus on behalf of every prominent speaker. Also, during the conference, the seeds will be sown for a long-term strategic plan to create a root bridge on campus, ”it said.
Scientifically, more than 135 papers were presented to the conference. Authors of selected submissions were asked to present their work in two ways – either as a full (oral) presentation or as a poster presentation.
