In honor of Ida Zeik

A memorial service in honor of Headmistress Ida Zeik was held at Lincoln Elementary School on Sunday, September 26th. The 1964 school’s 8th grade alumni were influenced by their devotion to art, science, culture, and civic friendliness.

A plaque and projector for the school were given to the current headmaster Keith Makowski and the Mayor of Bayonne, James Davis.

This was followed by a reunion in the Da Vinci room with classmates from seven states. I

Youth volleyball starts

Indoor Youth Volleyball Clinics begin on October 9th, Saturday through October 30th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the BHS Main Gym.

The fee is $ 25 per child. Registration in the town hall, Monday to Friday, 8.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.

Public prosecutor’s office is investigating shooting by officials

The Hudson County Attorney’s Office is investigating gunfire and vehicle tracking in Bayonne in the Hobart Ave area. and East 5th Street. Further information was not available at the time of going to press.

Collection of sheets

The autumn leaves are collected on ten Mondays, starting on October 11th and ending on December 13th.

Leaves can be placed in eco-friendly leaf bags, barrels or in paper bags. Plastic bags are not acceptable.

The eco-friendly bags can be collected from the front doors of City Hall, 4th Street Senior Center and 56th Street
Senior center, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday, except
Holidays.

4th Street Senior Center is located at 16 West 4th Street and Story Court. 56th Street Senior Center is located at 56th Street and Avenue B.
