Greene had around 460,000 followers on this account.
On Sunday, Greene busted Twitter’s decision in a statement.
“Twitter is an enemy of America and cannot handle the truth,” she said. “That’s okay, I’ll show America that we don’t need them and that it is time to defeat our enemies. You cannot successfully complete a communist revolution if people are telling the truth. Social media platforms cannot prevent the truth from being spread far and wide. Big tech can’t stop the truth. Communist Democrats cannot stop the truth. I stand by the truth and the people. We will overcome! “
Greene’s Congress Twitter account @RepMTG is still active.
The Republican from northern Georgia has been repeatedly suspended by Twitter for comments on the pandemic.
In August, Twitter suspended her account for a moment for calling the three coronavirus vaccines “failed” and not working to contain the spread of the virus. It was the fourth time her account had been suspended.
“To be clear, I am not against vaccines, people should be free to choose,” Greene said in a statement at the time. “However, in my opinion (the Food and Drug Administration) should not approve these vaccines until further research is done. But Twitter suspended me for telling the truth and tweeting what so many people were saying. “
Greene has been criticized for his racist, xenophobic and anti-Semitic statements. It alleged that the 2017 Las Vegas massacre was staged, warned of an “Islamic invasion” after two Muslims won congressional elections, described blacks as “slaves” to the Democrats and defended a lie that George Soros had handed Jews over to the Nazis.
