The Radisson Hotel Group has opened its first hotel under its Radisson Blu brand in Barcelona.
Radisson Blu 1882 Hotel, Barcelona Sagrada Familia is 450 meters from Antonio Gaudi’s famous monument in the Gracia district.
The hotel has 182 rooms in the Standard, Super, Premium, Premium Deluxe and Family categories. Meanwhile, its four restaurants and bars focus on “sustainable, balanced and healthy gastronomy” and include the El Cel Bar terrace and rooftop pool with views of the city skyline and Gaudi’s architecture.
The contemporary interiors were designed by Lazaro Rosa-Violan and include designer pieces, natural leather upholstery, deep pile carpets and green foliage to bring the outdoors indoors.
The building also houses 120 square meters of meeting and event space accommodating up to 120 people, a 24-hour fitness center, and a bike storage system that allows guests to explore the city.
The hotel has earned Gold-level LEED certification with sustainable features, including an 80m² vertical ecosystem with over 3,000 plants at the El Bosc Terrace Bar. Radisson says the facilities filter 10kg of dust per year and provide oxygen for 80 generate people.
In addition, the hotel has Biosphere certification and a dedicated social responsibility community community project.
