Biosphere hosts a pop-up info hub in Newton Stewart

Marie McNulty and Esther Tacke from Biosphere’s business development team

This month’s event aims to help local people learn more about what the biosphere is doing and how they can get involved, running from 10am to 4pm daily.

A special “Meet the Biosphere” business session will be held on July 21 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, allowing local micro-enterprises and SMEs to chat with the business development team.

Marie McNulty, Biosphere Assistant Manager said: “This pop-up center in Newton Stewart follows our very successful event in Girvan late last year when we met such an incredible range of people and were able to share some of what what makes our UNESCO biosphere unique.

“We want to do the same thing with this event: spread the message that the Biosphere is a participatory organization and that it absolutely belongs to everyone who lives here.”

The Biosphere community and education team will be back at The Vaults on July 21 for Newton Stewart’s Pride celebrations and the Green Fayre at Macmillan Hall on August 6 alongside partners Newton Stewart Initiative, Machars and Cree Valley Climate are hosting Action Network and Home Energy Scotland.
